I thought you were implying MLB.com added those stats.
Unrealistic expectations, I know.

Me too.
So far behind the fans…
For those children who claimed they’ve been a fan of their favorite team all their life, or even since they were about four or five years old: bullshit. There’s always that certain event or certain player that draws to the sport and draws you to a team. For me, Nomar Garciaparra was that reason. - Nick Coviello: I Try To See Rocco, But All I Think Is Nomar; 1/9/09

Wait a minute
Isn’t the main point regarding a hitter’s strikeout total supposed to be that you shouldn’t go apeshit over a hitter’s high K total if he contributes with OBA and SLG, not that you should ignore how a hitter makes an out altogether?
Also: “This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.”
Aaron King is still my homeboy... iffy mechanics and all

I'm excited for the comments section!
It has stuff like this:
BRNXBMR :…Go back to New York. Nobody is interested in your Mickey Mantle comparisons. There a dozens upon dozens of players in the MBL HOF with numbers as good as Mickey Mantle. In case if you’re wondering, OBP is not a production number, and should not be used as something he achieved. The pitcher simply took the bat out of his hands. A power hitter, and run producer, should be driving the ball and bringing in the runners. The OBP numbers should be used to evaluate the #1 and #2 hitters. Power hitters are evaluated by their SLG numbers. Lesson 2, learn your baseball before you start writing and look like a fool.

lolwut
Sabermetric thought has made for a smarter game, but like everything else in life, baseball is all about context — which Sabermetricheads always seem to forget.

That's bloody amazing.
Drawing walks isn’t a skill, it’s a slap in the face.
