Barry Bonds is Better than the Best

Obvious headline, but I've been doing more HOF comparing and had to share this before my next post on the topic.

POS WARP3 Peak JAWS
Hitters 118.2 68.3 93.2
Bonds 236.4 100.7 168.55

What this suggests is that Bonds career was worth more than 100 additional wins over a replacement player than the average hall of fame hitter. Bonds essentially makes the average hall of famer look like a replacement player. Steroids, Cream, and Clear or not, this guy has to go into the hall.

They won't vote him in.

The voters are more concerned with the character/steroids issue than they are with evaluating the numbers in regards to Bonds. It’s still amazing to me that Bonds has not found a place to play. I don’t know if it has to do with collusion or if that many teams are saying no to his notoriety. It certainly does look a little fishy.
