Oh. My. Goodness.
So I'm waiting for the Braves/Nats game to start and I figure hey, why not try Baseball Tonight this season, it can't be as bad I remember, right? Well...
Karl Ravech: "Nick Punto is a reason the Twins won't be that bad."
Yes. Nick Punto. Mr. -27.1 VORP Nick Punto, essentially costing his team 2.7 wins. THAT Nick Punto. At least ESPN's coverage gets better with Joe Morgan, it's not like he's ignorant to statistics, right? Oh, that's right, Joe Morgan is ESPN's version of Nick Punto.

Baseball Tonight...
I've always enjoyed Baseball Tonight despite all of the naysayers out there later. It's just been excruciatingly bad this year. Thank goodness for XM Radio bring MLB Home Plate online.
I'd really love for a high brow baseball analysis show. I don't mind the former players, but you you'd think that ESPN would at least confirm they have the ability to speak before putting them on air.
I used to love BBTN, the downfall started with Kruk, at least in my mind, I don't remember Dibble/Brantley being this bad.

Seriously
How can anyone get away with a statement like that? It's ridiculous. Yes, the Twins "won't be that bad" because of a backup utility infielder.
It's absurd because you can even ignore stats on this argument. A backup utility infielder as a reason for tempering pessimism? Hell, Gardenhire's figured out you can't give Punto regular playing time--how can "baseball expert" Karl Ravech not figure it out?
