Loretta is a 13-year veteran and two-time All-Star. He earned $2.75 million last year and will receive around $1.4 million in 2009.
Good deal for the Dodgers. Loretta is an upgrade over Angel Berrora, and projectes to be worth more than 1.4 million in 2009. I guess the Dodgers plan is to get all the positional players out of the way before focusing in on either Manny Ramirez or CC Sabathia.
