Nats Re-Sign Willie Harris 2 Years 3 Mil
Harris was the 6th best LFer in baseball in 2008. Good deal for the Nats.

Why doesn’t willie harris play 2B anymore? You would think he would have even more value at 2B. Is his glove just not very good in the IF anymore?

It doesn't appear so
Despite the small sampling size, he’s only been about average or slightly below average at 2B in the past.
In LF, however, he’s put up fantastic numbers.
I really hope that Nats give him a shot at starting next year. But it doesn’t appear so with the current logjam in the OF. I would be interested to see how he fares at 2B. I can’t imagine Belliard would be an upgrade, but we’ll see about Anderson Hernandez.
I’m just glad the Nats locked him up for two years instead of one.
