Around SBN: Todd Haley Is The Steelers Next Offensive Coordinator

Remember: Vote for Dave Cameron

In case you missed it over the weekend, USS Mariner/Fan Graphs super analyst David Cameron is up for a 10,000 dollar scholarship. If you enjoy this site, or a number of other saber sites, odds are they were at least partially influenced by some of his outstanding work. If you haven't had a chance to place a vote for him yet, please do.

A comment from Dave at his Fangraphs gig:
Currently enrolled – I’m a junior on my way to a BS in Economics.

Interestingly enough, during one of my classes this semester, a kid on his laptop sitting right next to me pulls up FanGraphs during class. I tapped him on the shoulder and was like "hey, I wrote that."

That was fun.

Personally, I want people to recognize me just walking down the street, but this story would be a good stepping stone.

Fangraphs/SBnation Vs. BurntOrange/DailyKos

Space.

It's a problem we face.

So we never go anywhere.

We just stay in one place.

Nah.

It’s not SBNation at all. It’s just a few sites that enjoy Cameron’s work.

Kos has a larger readerbase and seems to think this is “one of ours v. one of theirs”, yet there’s another “progressive” blogger in the poll, so not sure how that works.

The entire SBN network gets about one-fifth the page views of DailyKos.

With USSM, THT and Fangraphs thrown into the equation, that’s maybe 75% as many page views as Kos. And people at Kos are putting up diaries (and having them bumped to the front page) two or three times a day. Honestly, the fact that Dave is as close as he is (and a lot of the Kos commenters are acting as though they’re the underdogs) us amazing.

Well i guess I only consider the SB sites I look at the "real" SBN.
