I highly doubt he’ll be in the bigs before September though. Although I’ve watched the O’s bring up tons of people way too early.

I think he's "ready"
In the sense that he can be an average (at least) big league catcher in 2009. If the Orioles are smart, they will give him the Evan Longoria treatment: keep him in the minors for two weeks in April, assuring his services in 2016, and then bring him up.
