That's One I didn't see coming
Kouzmanoff looks like a good bat, but he might be best suited being one of those 4 corners type players that Chris Kahrl talks about. Funny that describes Branyan as well. Speaking of which, how long until Dallas McPherson wakes up and learns that he is the new Russ Branyan? Same skill set. Same liabilities. Same slow start with their ML careers. If you're the Twins or Red Sox or Orioles, why wouldn't you at least see if the Angels have had enough of him?

About Russ Branyan...
* What's the big deal with him? He's already almost 31, and his OBP has hovered around .320 until 2005, when it went up to .378. (This may have been a fluke; he only got around 240 PA's in '05.)
* Why haven't teams given him more at bats? He obviously has pretty good power (when he makes contact), evidenced by his 24 homers and ISO of .230 in '02.
Why would teams be interested in a player like this, such as Dallas McPherson?
